These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Chickitik educational platform ("Service", "Platform"), operated by ITcoti Oy ("we", "our company", "Chickitik").

• Follow all applicable laws and regulations

By creating an account and adding children's profiles, you confirm that:

• You are 18 years of age or older

• You are the parent or legal guardian of the child

• You have the right to give consent on behalf of the child

• You have read and understood our Children's Privacy Policy

Service Description

Chickitik is an educational platform for children aged 0 to 15 years.

• Library of children's fairy tales, stories and fables

• Professional quality audio recordings

• Illustrations for each fairy tale

• Educational content in 6 languages (RU, EN, FI, UK, EL, HE)

• Age ratings and recommendations

• Safe ad-free environment

To provide children with access to quality educational materials in a safe, friendly environment free from advertising and distractions.

• Web application (chickitik.com)

• iOS mobile app

• Android mobile app (coming soon)

⚠️ Limitations:

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

Registration and Accounts

To use Chickitik, you need to create an account.

📝 Account types:

• Parental account - main account for adults (18+)

• Children's profiles - linked to parental account

✅ Registration requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years old

• Valid email address

• Agreement to these Terms

• Agreement to Privacy Policy

• Agreement to Children's Privacy Policy (when creating children's profiles)

🔐 Account security:

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account

• All activities performed through your account

• Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access

⚠️ One account - one person:

• Account sharing is prohibited

• Each parent must have their own account

• One parental account can manage multiple children's profiles

Parental Account

Parental account is the main account that manages subscription and children's profiles.

👤 What's included in parental account:

• Email for login

• Subscription management

• Payment management

• Creating and deleting children's profiles

• Parental controls

• Access to children's learning progress

🎛️ Parental controls:

Through parental account you can:

• See what your child is listening to

• Track usage time

• Set age-appropriate content restrictions

• Manage settings for each child profile

💳 Subscription management:

• Subscribe and pay

• Change subscription plan

• Cancel subscription

• View payment history

• Receive receipts

📧 Contact information:

Parental account email is used for:

• System login

• Access recovery

• Important notifications

• Payment receipts

• Support communication

Children's Profiles

Children's profiles are created by parents for each child separately.

👶 Child profile information:

• Child's first name (no last name)

• Date of birth (for age recommendations)

• Learning progress

• Favorite fairy tales

• Listening history

🎯 Personalization:

Each child profile has:

• Individual age-based recommendations

• Own progress

• Separate settings

• Unique avatar

🔒 Children's privacy:

• Children do NOT have separate system login

• Access to children's profiles only through parental account

• No advertising or tracking

• Data protected according to Children's Privacy Policy

📊 What parents can see:

• Which fairy tales the child listened to

• How much time spent in the app

• Favorite categories

• Progress and achievements

⚠️ Limitations:

• Maximum 5 children's profiles per parental account

• Child profile cannot be transferred to another parental account

• Deleting parental account deletes all children's profiles

Subscription and Payment

Chickitik operates on a subscription model. Active subscription is required to access content.

💳 Subscription model:

• Monthly subscription - pay every month

• Annual subscription - pay once a year (with discount)

• Family subscription - access for the whole family

✅ What's included in subscription:

• Full access to entire fairy tale library

• All audio recordings without limits

• Up to 5 children's profiles

• All content updates

• Ad-free

• Cross-platform access (web + mobile apps)

🔄 Automatic renewal:

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the period unless you cancel before then.

• You'll receive a reminder 7 days before charge

• Can cancel anytime

• Cancellation takes effect at end of current period

💰 Payment methods:

📱 iOS app: All purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchases. Payment is charged via Apple ID. We do not accept direct payments in the iOS app.

🌐 Website: We accept:

• Bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro)

• Apple Pay

• Google Pay

• PayPal

🔒 Payment security:

• We do NOT store your bank card data

• All payments processed through secure payment systems

• PCI DSS compliant

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Apple Family Sharing (for iOS):

Family subscription supports Apple Family Sharing. This means:

• Subscription owner can share access with family members through Apple Family Sharing

• Up to 6 family members can use the subscription simultaneously

• Subscription management is done through Apple ID family organizer settings

Pricing and Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices.

Prices are listed on our website chickitik.com in the subscription section.

• All prices include VAT (where applicable)

• Prices may vary by region

• Special offers and discounts may apply temporarily

📢 Price change notification:

• We will notify you 30 days before price changes

• Notification will be sent to your email

• Price change does not affect current paid period

✅ Your rights when price changes:

If you disagree with the new price:

• You can cancel subscription before end of current period

• Your subscription remains active until end of paid period

• Automatic renewal will not occur

🎁 Promo codes and discounts:

• Promo codes applied during subscription checkout

• Not combinable with other offers (unless stated)

• Have expiration dates

• Do not apply to already paid subscriptions

Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time.

• Open Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions

• Find Chickitik and tap it

• Tap "Cancel Subscription"

🌐 Website:

• Log in to parental account

• Go to "Subscription" section

• Click "Cancel Subscription"

• Confirm cancellation

⏰ When cancellation takes effect:

• Cancellation takes effect at end of current paid period

• Until end of period you retain full access

• Automatic renewal will not occur

💰 Refund policy:

📱 iOS app: Refunds for purchases made through Apple In-App Purchases are handled exclusively by Apple. To request a refund visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com

🌐 Website:

• No refunds for current period

• Exception: 14-day period for EU residents (right of withdrawal)

• For EU residents: full refund within 14 days of purchase

• Technical issues: considered individually

• Email info@itcoti.fi with payment information

• Response within 5 business days

Intellectual Property

All content on the Chickitik platform is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

© Ownership rights:

All content rights belong to ITcoti Oy or licensors:

• Fairy tales (text and audio)

• Illustrations and graphics

• App design

• Logo and trademarks

• Software code

✅ What you can do:

• Listen to fairy tales in the app

• Add to favorites

• Use app features as intended

• Show content to your children

❌ What is prohibited:

• Copy, distribute or publish content

• Download audio files for use outside the app

• Create derivative works

• Remove watermarks or copyright notices

• Sell or rent access to content

• Use content for commercial purposes

• Decompile or reverse engineer software

⚖️ Copyright infringement:

Upon detecting violations we reserve the right to:

• Immediately block account

• Remove service access

• Contact law enforcement

Acceptable Use

By using Chickitik, you agree to use the service responsibly and legally.

✅ Acceptable use:

• Creating account with accurate information

• Using service for children to listen to fairy tales

• Managing your children's profiles

• Providing feedback and suggestions

• Reporting technical issues

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family use:

• One parental account per family

• Up to 5 children's profiles

• Use only by family members

• Sharing access with third parties prohibited

🔒 Account security:

You must:

• Keep your email access secure

• Not share account access with others

• Immediately report account compromise

• Ensure children do not have direct access to parental account

Prohibited Activities

Strictly prohibited:

🚫 Illegal activities:

• Copyright infringement

• Hacking or attempting to hack the system

• Using bots or automation

• DDoS attacks or server overload

• Injecting viruses or malware

• Bypassing security mechanisms

❌ Service abuse:

• Creating multiple accounts

• Transferring or selling access

• Using for commercial purposes without permission

• Mass downloading content

• Reverse engineering the app

⚠️ Consequences of violations:

Any of the above will result in:

• Immediate account suspension

• Subscription cancellation without refund

• Possible legal action

• Ban on creating new accounts

User Content

Chickitik provides users with the ability to create reviews and rate fairy tales.

⭐ Reviews and ratings:

You can:

• Leave text reviews about fairy tales

• Rate fairy tales

• Edit your reviews and ratings

• Delete your reviews

📝 Review guidelines:

Your reviews must:

• Be polite and respectful

• Relate to the content of fairy tales

• Not contain insults or profanity

• Not contain spam or advertising

• Not violate third-party rights

🔒 Content rights:

By posting a review or rating, you:

• Retain all rights to your review

• Grant us a non-exclusive license to use it

• Give permission to display the review in the service

• Confirm that the review is your original content

⚖️ Moderation:

We reserve the right to:

• Moderate reviews before publication

• Remove reviews that violate the rules

• Block users for systematic violations

• Not explain reasons for removing specific reviews

📝 What is NOT user content:

• Children's profile names and data (personal information)

• Favorite fairy tales (private settings)

• Learning progress (private data)

💬 Feedback:

If you send us suggestions or ideas for improvement:

• They are considered non-confidential

• We may use them to improve the service

• You will not be compensated for them

• We are not obligated to implement them

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Direct, indirect, incidental or punitive damages

• Loss of data or profits

• Service interruption

• Errors or malfunctions in the app

• Third party actions

💰 Maximum liability:

In any case our maximum liability is limited to:

• Amount paid by you for subscription in the last 12 months

• Or 100 euros (whichever is less)

• We provide educational content

• Parents are responsible for raising children

• We are not liable for content impact on child development

• Parents independently choose appropriate content

Nothing in this section limits your legal rights as an EU consumer.

Warranties and Disclaimers

Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE".

We do NOT guarantee:

• Uninterrupted 24/7 service operation

• Absence of errors or failures

• That service will meet all your expectations

• Accuracy, completeness or timeliness of content

• Specific educational outcomes

• We will make reasonable efforts to ensure stable operation

• We will promptly fix critical errors

• We will ensure GDPR-compliant data protection

• Content is created by professionals and verified

🛡️ Security:

• We use modern data protection methods

• Regularly update security systems

• But cannot guarantee 100% protection from all threats

📚 Educational content:

• Content is for entertainment and education

• Does not replace professional pedagogical education

• Parents evaluate content suitability for their children

Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service access.

We may temporarily suspend your account for:

• Suspected violation of terms of use

• Technical payment issues

• Complaint investigation

• Need to verify account data

We may immediately terminate your access for:

• Serious violations of terms of use

• Illegal activity

• Hacking attempts or abuse

• Multiple violations

You can at any time:

• Cancel subscription

• Delete your account

• Stop using the service

📦 Termination consequences:

Upon access termination:

• All children's profiles will be deleted

• Listening history will be deleted

• Data is not recoverable

• Subscription does not renew automatically

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service.

• Minor changes: in-app notification

• Material changes: email 30 days before taking effect

• Last update date shown at beginning of document

✅ Your consent to changes:

By continuing to use the service after changes take effect, you agree to the new terms.

❌ If you disagree:

• You can cancel subscription before changes take effect

• Access remains until end of current paid period

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Finland.

Disputes are resolved in courts of Finland, Helsinki.

• You may NOT transfer your rights under these Terms to third parties

• We may transfer our rights and obligations to third parties (e.g., in a merger or business sale)

• You will be notified in advance

These Terms are available in Russian, English, Finnish, Ukrainian, Greek and Hebrew. In case of discrepancies, the English version prevails.
